The Epistle of James has practical and ethical teachings for the Christian life, just as Jesus himself showed that faith should be accompanied by actions. However, some scholars have raised criticism of the Epistle of James, as if this was contrary to the justification by faith. In this paper, we show that faith and works are not opposed in the Epistle of James, it is necessary to understand the context of the same and its importance for Christians today.
