On the way to Lyon, Saint Thomas Aquinas, already greatly weakened, falls seriously ill and dies the 07 March of the year 1274. According to some sources, his body was dismembered by the monks of Fossanova. This fact is something surprising or falls at the time? Through documents such as wills and the Decretalia of Boniface VIII, there is made an effort to formulate an answer to this question.
