Abstract

This lecture has three parts, as suggested in the elements of the self title: in a first moment, we’ll make some comments about the steinian conception of mystical experience, taking as support her work Ciência da cruz – Estudo sobre João da Cruz and her study about symbolical theology of Pseudo-Dionísio, intitled As vias do conhecimento de Deus; in a second moment, we try to make an analysis her conception of philosophy as science; and in a third one, we’ll treat about the relationship stablished by Edith Stein between the philosophical knowledge and the resulting knowledge of the mystical experience. For the two last moments, we’ll take as support her work Ser finite e ser eterno.
