Abstract

This article aims to present the vision of Edith Stein about the community life. For this we will seek to: a) explain the basis of phenomenological investigations conducted by the author; b) present the essential features of the community and c) illustrate the community life from an educational experience developed in a public school in Sao Paulo. In this latter respect present examples of changes experienced by some students during the experiment reported as, for example, the approach to the literature. This and other reports will illustrate the contribution of community experience to the development of the human person.
