Cristo, pão da vida (Jo 6,1-71)
Keywords:
Bread of Life. Meat of Heaven. Eucharist.Abstract
In the chapter six of the Gospel according to Saint John, Jesus presents himself as “Bread of Life”. Such affirmation is made by the Master right away after the multiplication of breads and fishes. Jesus, so, affirms that He is the true bread who comes from heaven and that has the eternal life only who eats his flesh and drinks his blood. This speech figures an anticipation of the institution of the Sacred Eucharist.
