Catolicismo e evangelização em São Paulo: centenário da arquidiocese (1908-2008)

This article presents a landscape of the Catholicism in São Paulo during the last century (1908-2008), with special hang to the pastoral activity of D. Paulo Evaristo Arns. His figure stands out during the military dictatorship, when he wellcame political prisoners, beyond preparing the creation of the new dioceses on Metropolitan Region of Sao Paulo. In brief, a pastor ́s activity worried in conducting the herd in the evangelic orientation of serving, and serving to the small people.
