O que é anterior: linguagem ou intencionalidade?

Intentionality Language.Abstract
My principal aim in this article is to analyse the following question: Is it possible to have intentional states before the aquisition of language? This problem will be discussed from the perspectives of the philosophy of John Searle (1932-) and the later Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951). We will see that, in spite of the fact that both philosophers disagree in some opinions about the nature of language, both defend the thesis that some kinds of intentional states preceed the acquisition of language.
