Hermeneutic perspective of Donald Davidson’s Philosophy of Language
Keywords:
Beliefs-Desires. Mental Events. Hermeneutic.Abstract
Human beings do not only interpret linguistic expressions, but thought contents, that is, propositional attitudes, which are beliefs, desires and wills. From this perspective, we will show that it is possible to consider that Davidson's philosophy of language has a hermeneutic perspective. This is because desires and beliefs are necessary mental events for rational agents to understand and interpret their common experiences shared in a linguistic community.
